I went to Jenny Lake. It was weird because there were deep parts and very, very shallow parts. The hike was the longest hike I have ever been on. It was crazy because there was hardly any people at the beginning and a lot of people at the end. There was an animal named a Pika. It is really small and looks like a mouse. It does haystacks, so it will take grass and dry out in the sun in spring. Then after spring is over, the Pika will grab the hay and bring it into his den and eat it for the winter. Colter Bay water is really cold because it is from a glacier. We got there and I realized we had our raft and so I told my mom to text my dad, because he was still at the trailer, to get it. Then I got the first turn on it. Then it was my sister’s turn. After her turn, there was a bear that showed up at the perfect time to leave because we wanted ice cream. The bear was swimming and drinking from the lake. The bear was really fat. It was a black bear even though it was brown. I know because the bear didn’t have a hump in the middle. If it has a hump, it is a brown bear. If it doesn’t have a hump, it is a black bear. I was in the water and it took me a while to get out and I was scared the bear could swim to me faster than I could walk out of the water. I was really nervous because the bear was in a shallow part and could get out easily. By Lance
